City — Peoria County seat. Not on your own driveway or lot. On a City street or alley, Peoria requires a Public Works right-of-way permit that we, the hauler, apply for: $20 per 30 days, 48 hours to process, 50 feet from an intersection, 10 feet from a hydrant, lit barricades and boards. Residential dumpsters are limited to two weeks unless Community Development extends it in writing. We handle it.

We deliver across the City of Peoria, from downtown, the Warehouse District and the West Bluff to the north end, through Peoria Heights, West Peoria, Bartonville and Dunlap in Peoria County, and over the Murray Baker, McClugage, Cedar Street and Bob Michel bridges to East Peoria, Creve Coeur, Pekin, Morton and Washington in Tazewell County, along I-74, I-474, War Memorial Drive, Route 29 and US-24. Village — Peoria County · about 4 miles from downtown Peoria. No published Village rule for a container on your own driveway that we have found. For a street placement we ask Village Hall ((309) 686-2385) before the truck rolls rather than guess; most jobs here avoid it with a 10 or 15-yard on the drive.
City — Peoria County · about 3 miles from downtown Peoria. West Peoria publishes no dumpster permit for a driveway or the street; its right-of-way rules cover items left more than 72 hours ($50 to $500 fines). A street placement is something we confirm with City Hall ((309) 674-1993) first. Most jobs here fit a 10 or 15-yard on the drive.
Village — Peoria County · about 7 miles from downtown Peoria. Bartonville publishes no dumpster permit for a driveway or the street; the Village licenses garbage haulers and screens permanent commercial bins, nothing more. Most drives here take a 20 or 30-yard, so the street rarely comes up; if it does, we ask Village Hall (309-633-2053) first.
Village — Peoria County · about 12 miles from downtown Peoria. Dunlap publishes no dumpster permit for a driveway or the street; its code covers permanent bin enclosures and general obstruction only. Building permits route through Peoria County’s code. Drives here take a 30 or 40-yard, so the street rarely comes up; if it does, we ask the Village office ((309) 243-7500).
City — Tazewell County · about 3 miles from downtown Peoria. East Peoria requires a 30-day permit for a roll-off on any property (City Code Sec. 5-4-9): $25, renewable once for $25, no more than 30 days in a year without the renewal. Non-residential roll-offs stay out of front yards and the street unless City Services allows it. We arrange the permit through City Hall (309-698-4715) when you book.
City — Tazewell County seat · about 12 miles from downtown Peoria. No permit on your own driveway or lot that Pekin publishes. In a Pekin street, the hauler’s City licence requires Public Works authorisation and a location map first, and the fee schedule lists a temporary refuse container at $25 per day. In the short-drive Broadway blocks we sort that before delivery.
Village — Tazewell County · about 12 miles from downtown Peoria. No permit on your own driveway, but Morton’s zoning (Sec. 10-4-13) allows one dumpster per property, up to 30 cubic yards, never on the street or right-of-way: 30 days for a move, or until the work is done for a renovation. Drives here are wide, so that is where it goes.
City — Tazewell County · about 12 miles from downtown Peoria. No published permit for a roll-off on your own property. Washington’s code keeps roll-off boxes out of front yards and off the street unless the City Administrator gives temporary permission (Sec. 42-33), and wants them on a hard surface. Around the Square we ask City Hall (309-444-3196) before a street drop.
Village — Tazewell County · about 6 miles from downtown Peoria. Creve Coeur’s code is not published in a form we can quote, so we ask Village Hall (309-699-6714) before any street placement rather than claim a rule. No published permit for your own driveway that we have found; lots are small, so we plan the drop carefully.
Dumpster permits in Peoria
On a private driveway or lot, no Public Works permit; the City says so on its own page. In a City street or alley, Peoria requires a Dumpster or Storage Container permit from the Public Works Permits Division (3505 N Dries Lane, 309-494-8800), and under City Code Sec. 26-29(d)(2) the hauler placing the container applies for it: $20 for each 30 days, about 48 hours to process, 50 feet clear of an intersection or alley, 10 feet clear of a hydrant, barricades with flashing lights, reflective strips, boards under the container, and a meter bag from Heartland Parking for a metered space. Haulers hold a City licence ($25 a year, $10,000 bond); the general penalty is $75 to $500 per day and a second offence of working without a permit adds $1,000. City Code Sec. 13-37(d) also limits a dumpster on a residential property to two weeks unless Community Development (309-494-8600) extends it in writing. Outside the city the rules change at every boundary, which is why each town page above states its own. In short: East Peoria licenses the roll-off itself at $25 for 30 days; Morton allows one container per property, never on the street, for 30 days on a move; Washington keeps roll-offs out of front yards and off the street without the City Administrator’s permission; Pekin wants Public Works authorisation and a location map before a container obstructs a public way; West Peoria, Bartonville and Dunlap publish no container rule; and Peoria Heights and Creve Coeur keep their codes in a form we cannot quote, so we ask the village first. Where a place publishes nothing, we say so and keep the container on private property.
