- What size dumpster do I need?
- How much does dumpster rental cost in Peoria?We quote one flat price up front based on the container size and the material. It includes delivery, the rental period, pickup and a disposal weight allowance; the only possible extra is the per-ton overage rate we state on the same quote. - Do I need a permit for a dumpster in Peoria?Not on your own driveway or private lot, though the City limits a residential dumpster to two weeks unless Community Development extends it in writing. In a Peoria street or alley the City requires a Public Works right-of-way permit ($20 per 30 days) that we, the hauler, apply for. Our permit guide has the details and the nine surrounding towns.
- How fast can you deliver?Call before noon and we can usually deliver the same afternoon across Peoria, the Heights, West Peoria, East Peoria, Creve Coeur and Bartonville. Otherwise, next day.
- How long can I keep the dumpster?Most home rentals run three to seven days and contractors keep containers for weeks with swaps. The City of Peoria limits a residential dumpster to two weeks unless extended in writing, East Peoria’s permit runs 30 days (renewable once), and Morton allows 30 days for a move; we set the dates to fit the town and help you ask for more if the job runs long.
- What can’t go in the dumpster?Illinois keeps landscape waste, whole tires, appliances, lead-acid batteries, motor oil and covered electronics out of landfills, and liquids, hazardous waste and asbestos never go in. Paint goes to PaintCare or a County hazardous waste collection. Our guide lists where each item goes.
- Where does the waste go?To the Peoria Transfer Station on West Southport Road, which took over from the Edwards landfill when it closed in April 2025 and accepts construction debris, and on to permitted landfills from there. Clean green waste goes to a composting site, as Illinois law requires. The County’s free-load programme will not take building materials, so a roll-off is the practical route.
- Will the dumpster damage my driveway?We set the container down rather than dragging it and put boards under the rails on request. Tell us if the surface is new or decorative and we will plan the placement around it.
- What are the rules in East Peoria, Morton, Washington and the other towns?Each one is different. East Peoria: a $25 permit for 30 days on any property, renewable once. Morton: no permit, but one container per property, never on the street, 30 days for a move. Washington: roll-offs out of front yards and off the street unless the City Administrator allows it. Pekin: Public Works authorisation before a container obstructs a public way. West Peoria, Bartonville and Dunlap publish no rule; Peoria Heights and Creve Coeur we ask before a street placement. Each service-area page states what the town publishes and who to ring.
- Do you offer junk removal as well as dumpsters?Yes. Our junk removal crew loads, hauls and disposes of furniture, appliances and whole-house cleanouts, priced by the load with a firm quote on site.
- How much space does the truck need?About 60 feet of straight clearance to back in and roll the container off, and roughly 14 feet of overhead clearance, free of low wires and branches. Send a photo of the spot if you are unsure.
- Can I fill it above the top?No. The load must be level with the top rail so the truck can tarp it and travel legally. We will ask you to level an overfilled container before we haul it.
- What happens if I go over the weight allowance?You pay the per-ton overage rate we quoted when you booked, nothing more. Light loads rarely get near the allowance; heavy loads are why we size concrete, dirt and shingles into smaller containers.
